Embark on a rewarding role as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in a vibrant Early Childhood Center serving Pre K to 5th grade students. Located near Chicago, IL, this contract position offers the chance to make a real impact in children’s lives while working alongside passionate educators and dedicated support staff.

This opportunity begins immediately and extends through May 28, 2027. Teachers will work Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:30pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch) for a total of 35 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois State Educator License with the LBS1 Endorsement required
  • Previous experience writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with related services staff to ensure comprehensive student support
  • At least 2 years of recent teaching experience preferred, especially within special education settings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction in alignment with IEP goals for students from Pre K to 5th grade
  • Create an inclusive, engaging, and respectful classroom environment
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation to track student progress
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and communicate with families and team members
  • Adapt teaching strategies to address unique learning needs
