This full-time contract position is ideal for a passionate Special Education Teacher ready to empower and engage 3rd to 5th grade students. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working in a self-contained classroom preferred
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Skills in adapting curriculum for diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and collaborative abilities
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction across core subjects to students in grades 3-5 within a self-contained setting
  • Create, modify, and execute lesson plans based on IEP goals and student progress
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general education staff
  • Monitor and assess student growth, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation per school and state requirements
  • Communicate proactively with parents and guardians about student achievement and needs
  • Contribute to a positive classroom environment while maintaining structure and routine

Position Details:

  • Full-time, contract role, 35 hours per week
  • Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Work in a supportive and resourceful educational setting
