Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education Teacher certification (applicable to Illinois)
  • Experience working with elementary-age students, ideally in grades 3-5
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Dedication to equitable and inclusive education practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to elementary students according to IEP goals
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans in partnership with families and staff
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, services, and data collection
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively implemented
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school-based professional development
  • Foster a supportive and accessible classroom environment that promotes growth and achievement for all learners
