Special Education Teacher | Chicago, Illinois

Take on a meaningful role supporting students as a Special Education Case Manager and Instructional Coach in a dynamic early childhood learning environment near Chicago, IL. This contract position runs full-time (32.5 hours per week) from ASAP through May 27, 2027. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping special education programming for PreK through age 22, ensuring compliance while helping to cultivate inclusive, high-quality educational experiences for all learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement for PreK–age 22
• At least three years of special education experience, preferably in early childhood
• Strong understanding of special education law, compliance, and best practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and coaching skills
• Experience facilitating IEP meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Core Responsibilities:

• Serve as an instructional leader and compliance facilitator for special education programs at the assigned school
• Collaborate with administrators, instructional coaches, and district leadership to enhance inclusive practices
• Facilitate and lead IEP meetings, ensuring quality documentation and adherence to all regulations
• Coach and mentor special education staff to improve instructional outcomes for students with disabilities
• Support and expand the school’s continuum of services, evaluating and refining approaches as needed
• Champion a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement around student services
