Qualifications:

  • Valid IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with proper endorsements required
  • Prior experience with high school special education students preferred
  • Strong commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Teach three inclusion classes and two resource classes
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 10-15 students
  • Write IEPs, complete progress monitoring, and maintain all required documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings
  • Utilize two daily preparation periods and enjoy a duty-free lunch
  • Collaborate with a departmental Case Manager while managing your own caseload
