Key Qualifications:

  • Active GaPSC Special Education Certification with SPED content valid through 8th grade
  • Adapted Curriculum Endorsement required (pending credentials will be considered)
  • Proven experience or a true passion for working with students in functional and self-contained classrooms
  • Team-focused mindset and strong communication skills for collaborating with paraprofessionals and behavioral staff
  • Flexible, compassionate, and ready to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs

Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with significant needs in a functional curriculum setting
  • Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and a Registered Behavior Technician to create an inclusive, supportive environment
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Track student progress, document outcomes, and communicate regularly with families and staff
  • Participate in planning meetings, professional development, and pre/post planning days as needed
