Special Education Teacher - Chickamauga, GA

Key Qualifications:

• Current Special Education teaching certification
• Experience with self-contained classroom environments preferred
• In-depth knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Strong classroom management and individualized instructional skills

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and accommodations in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• Create and adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning goals
• Establish a positive, structured classroom setting that encourages student growth
• Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, and school support teams
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional staff development
• Provide behavioral support and interventions as needed
