A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Paraprofessional with experience in special education support, working full-time at a vibrant elementary school in the Chickamauga, GA area. This role begins immediately and extends through approximately October 30th, 2026, with the possibility of continuation for the full academic year depending on needs.

In this position, you’ll play an essential role in a kindergarten classroom, collaborating closely with a lead teacher and supporting young learners in a non-special education setting. You will create a positive, nurturing environment, helping students grow academically and socially during a medical leave coverage. The role does not currently involve tasks such as toileting and offers a stable 37.5-hour work week.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active GaPSC Certification required
  • Previous pediatric experience, preferably in a school setting
  • Ability to positively engage with children in early elementary grades
  • Collaborative attitude and a professional work ethic
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with teachers and staff

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities
  • Provide individualized attention to students as needed
  • Help maintain a safe and productive classroom environment
  • Support classroom organization, routines, and engagement
  • Reinforce lessons and provide feedback to students under the teacher’s direction
