Desired Qualifications:
- Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special and General Education Endorsements for Pre-K age groups
- Experience supporting preschool-aged children with varying verbal abilities, including non-verbal students
- Skill in implementing behavior management techniques and adaptive communication methods
- Comfortable assisting with daily living skills, including toilet training/diapering and feeding
- Strong teamwork abilities and collaborative spirit within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing, and structured learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Provide targeted instruction addressing cognitive, social, and behavioral goals in the Pre-K setting
- Support students with daily living activities, including feeding and toileting, with sensitivity and respect
- Utilize a variety of communication supports, such as visual aids, technology, or alternative methods
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers to ensure holistic student growth
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and ongoing communication with families
