Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students in a substantially separate classroom setting. This contract position is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher interested in making a real difference for students with therapeutic needs. Serving grades K-4, you’ll foster growth, academic achievement, and emotional development in a nurturing, structured environment.

Your teaching day will follow a consistent 8:30 am – 3:00 pm schedule, providing stability to your routine and your students. The contract runs from August 25th, 2025, through June 19th, 2026—giving you the chance to see your students progress across the entire school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
  • Experience working in K-4 classrooms, preferably with students who have therapeutic or intensive needs
  • Strong knowledge of IEP planning, implementation, and compliance
  • Exceptional classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
  • Ability to develop individualized lesson plans and accommodate diverse learning styles
  • Collaborative spirit for working with support staff, families, and external therapists
  • Creative problem-solver with patience, compassion, and effective communication skills

What You’ll Do:

  • Teach and adapt curriculum in a substantially separate K-4 classroom
  • Provide therapeutic interventions as needed to support student behavioral and emotional needs
  • Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Maintain organized documentation of student progress and communication
  • Work closely with paraeducators, related service providers, and families
  • Create a safe, supportive environment that celebrates each student’s abilities and achievements
