Special Education Teacher in Chicopee, MA

An elementary special education teaching opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year. This role involves working in a K-4 substantially separate classroom that supports students with therapeutic needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique learning and therapeutic requirements
• Deliver instructional content aligned with curriculum standards for K-4 students
• Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and families to promote student growth and success
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student performance and behavior

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
• Knowledge of therapeutic classroom strategies and interventions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Location: Elementary school in Chicopee, Massachusetts

Schedule and Duration:

• Contract position for the 2025-2026 school year (August 25, 2025 – June 19, 2026)
• Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
