Special Education Teacher in Cibolo, TX

Step into a specialized educational environment focusing on supporting elementary students with Autism in a Structured Learning Classroom. This contract opportunity involves working closely with a small caseload of 8 students in grades 1st, 2nd, and 4th, providing targeted guidance within a reversed inclusion model. You'll collaborate with a general education teacher, dedicated paraprofessionals, and support staff to deliver a balance of 1:1 and group learning that adapts to student needs.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with Autism
• Familiarity with Structured Learning Classrooms and reversed inclusion settings
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse behavioral and learning needs
• Strong collaboration skills and commitment to cooperative teaching models

Primary Duties:

• Guide and instruct students using the general education curriculum, tailored for an SLC environment
• Provide individualized support through pull-out sessions for sensory needs, behavior management, and challenging subjects
• Work in partnership with general education staff and paraprofessionals, including coordinating with a 1:1 aide for a designated student
• Develop and implement personalized strategies to promote student success and reintegration into the general classroom
• Monitor progress and adjust instructional plans to ensure educational goals are met
