Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience teaching in a high school setting preferred
• Familiarity with self-contained classroom structure
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEP goals
• Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and team members

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging, differentiated instruction within a self-contained classroom
• Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Tracking and reporting student progress and adapting teaching strategies as needed
• Communicating regularly with families and guardians about student performance
• Supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social growth
