Qualifications & Requirements:
- Hold an active Illinois LBS1 license, demonstrating your commitment to supporting diverse learners.
- Experience working with high school students in Special Education settings is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that drive student success.
- Strong organizational skills and a flexible approach to meet the varied needs within the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver instructional plans tailored to each student’s strengths, challenges, and interests.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom climate to promote students’ academic and social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement IEP goals.
- Assess student progress, adjust instruction as needed, and maintain accurate records of achievement and behavioral data.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and school initiatives to enrich the educational experience for all.
