Special Ed Teacher - Cicero, Illinois

Exciting opportunities are now available for Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year! We are seeking experienced and passionate educators ready to inspire and support students in a variety of specialized settings near Cicero, IL. Openings include: Elementary RISE (Autism Self-Contained Program), Middle School RISE (Autism Self-Contained Program), Elementary AIM (Low Incidence Life Skills), and SEL (Social Emotional Learning) roles at both elementary and middle school levels. These contract positions offer the chance to make a significant impact on students’ lives.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required
• Prior experience working with students with autism, low-incidence disabilities, or social-emotional/behavioral needs preferred
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong background in differentiated instruction and evidence-based classroom management
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
• Compassion, patience, and commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and individualized support in self-contained or specialized classroom settings
• Develop, adapt, and implement IEP goals targeting academics, behavior, and life skills
• Utilize data-driven interventions and ongoing progress monitoring

• Engage positively with families and caregivers to support student progress
