What you’ll bring:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for K-12 in Illinois
• Experience or strong interest in delivering individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Ability to engage with students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to supporting a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
• Flexibility and adaptability to address varying student needs
• Prior experience at the elementary level, especially in instructional settings, is preferred

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to individual student IEPs
• Provide direct instruction and specialized interventions for Kindergarten or 1st Grade students
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to assure student growth
• Utilize a variety of instructional materials and technology to enhance student engagement
• Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust instruction
• Advocate for student needs while maintaining a supportive, nurturing classroom
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to creating a team-centered approach to student success
