This position features two Special Education openings, each focusing on providing instructional support at the elementary level—one role with a Kindergarten caseload, and another working with 1st Grade students. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential required
- Prior experience or strong interest working with kindergarten and/or first grade children
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet IEP goals and students’ learning styles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families and educational teams
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting students with disabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons for a classroom of kindergarten or first grade students on your instructional caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Track and document student progress towards goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and encourage engagement
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff development, and IEP meetings as needed
