Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current, valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working in a K-12 school setting, preferably with students requiring specialized instruction
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with both students and staff
• Compassion and patience when guiding students with special learning needs

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and areas for growth
• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure appropriate interventions and modifications
• Track student progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with families regarding student growth
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom climate where students feel safe to explore and learn
