Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree required
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements
• Certified in Illinois as a Special Education Teacher
• At least three years of experience in Special Education
• Strong understanding of special education law and compliance requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the instructional leader for special education within assigned schools
• Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring all compliance standards are met
• Support and coach special education staff to implement best instructional practices
• Collaborate with school administrators and general education instructional coaches to improve inclusive education
• Expand and strengthen the continuum of services for students with disabilities
• Monitor instructional quality and program compliance
