Special Education Teacher | Cicero, Illinois

This contract position offers the opportunity to work with grades K-8 across Early Education, Elementary, and Middle School settings, serving as either a resource or instructional (self-contained) educator. Your commitment will span 32.5 hours per week, fostering individualized learning and creating positive outcomes for every child.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-8th grade
• Experience or interest in Early Education, Elementary, or Middle School environments
• Strong ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Passion for supporting students in both resource and self-contained classrooms
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff
• Collaborative spirit and dedication to inclusive education

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to students’ unique strengths
• Partner with general education teachers and support staff for program success
• Track student progress and adjust approaches based on ongoing assessments
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate actively with families to ensure holistic student support
