Special Education Teacher in Cicero, IL

Make a significant impact in the lives of young learners by serving as a Special Education Case Manager and Instructional Coach for early childhood students, in a rewarding, full-time contract position. In this role, you’ll support schools by serving as both an instructional leader and compliance facilitator, coordinating high-quality special education programming for students from PreK up to age 22.

As a vital resource for school teams, you’ll collaborate with building administrators, other instructional coaches, and the Director of Special Education and Student Services to ensure that instructional practices are inclusive, effective, and compliant with all applicable federal and state regulations. You’ll also take a lead in facilitating Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide valuable coaching and professional development for fellow special education staff, all to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate PreK–age 22 special education endorsements
• At least three years of experience in special education, ideally with a focus on early childhood
• Demonstrated expertise in IEP facilitation, compliance, and instructional coaching within school settings
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
