Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary students, particularly in life skills or autism-focused classrooms
• Comprehensive knowledge of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and team members
• Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to promoting student growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals using engaging, multi-sensory strategies
• Design and adapt activities to foster independence, functional communication, and social-emotional skills
• Collaborate with other educators and therapists to support a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Collect data and monitor progress, ensuring timely reporting and ongoing IEP compliance
• Maintain organized records and provide transparent communication with families regarding student achievements and needs
• Cultivate a caring, respectful classroom culture where every child is supported at their individual pace
