Special Education Teacher | Circle Pines, Minnesota

Step into a pivotal role supporting students with diverse learning needs as a Substitute Special Education Teacher. This strictly on-call, per diem assignment offers flexibility for educators who are available Monday through Friday to step in as needed. Coverage may be scheduled in advance—such as for planned absences or vacations—or required on short notice to fill in for direct-hire or contract Special Education Teachers. Assignments span all grade levels from Early Childhood through high school, providing varied and rewarding experiences.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching Certification (must be submitted with your resume)
• Ability to adapt quickly to new classroom environments and school routines
• Experience working with students with a range of disabilities, learning styles, and grade levels is preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Reliable and responsive to short-notice assignment requests

Responsibilities:

• Provide continuity of instruction and support for special education students based on teacher plans and IEPs
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere for diverse learners
• Collaborate with school staff, paraprofessionals, and families as needed
• Maintain accurate records and communication per district and school requirements
• Uphold confidentiality and compliance with special education laws and guidelines
