This position is based at an elementary school and requires an enthusiastic professional who can manage a diverse caseload while working closely with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. The assignment runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, at 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in special education (PDF documentation required with application)
- Demonstrated success working as a Special Education Teacher within a school setting
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs for elementary-age students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide resource support and instruction for K-5 students with varying needs
- Develop, adapt, and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student success
- Employ evidence-based interventions and maintain accurate progress records
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development activities
