Special Education Teacher | Clarksburg, Maryland

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, working with an innovative Learning for Life Program in a supportive school setting. This full-time, onsite position is dedicated to fostering positive educational outcomes for a caseload of 15 students. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team, shaping the academic year from August 17th through June 4th.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• Hold active Special Education Teacher certification (SPED)
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs preferred
• Strong ability to adapt curriculum and tailor instruction for individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Confident managing a caseload and cultivating a positive, inclusive classroom
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Commitment to full-time, onsite work from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

Position Details & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students enrolled in the Learning for Life Program
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with support staff, related service providers, and families
• Foster a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment
• Track student progress, adjust strategies as needed, and document results
• Attend professional development and staff meetings as required
• Uphold district and state standards for special education
