This full-time, onsite position is dedicated to fostering positive educational outcomes for a caseload of 15 students. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team, shaping the academic year from August 17th through June 4th.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Hold active Special Education Teacher certification (SPED)
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs preferred
- Strong ability to adapt curriculum and tailor instruction for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Confident managing a caseload and cultivating a positive, inclusive classroom
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Commitment to full-time, onsite work from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Position Details & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students enrolled in the Learning for Life Program
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with support staff, related service providers, and families
- Foster a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment
- Track student progress, adjust strategies as needed, and document results
- Attend professional development and staff meetings as required
- Uphold district and state standards for special education
