Your role will focus on supporting a resource caseload, collaborating with educators, and delivering individualized instruction to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Ideal Experience & Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Special Education Teaching license/certification in Ohio or eligibility to obtain.
- Experience working with K-8 students in special education settings, preferably within a resource program.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and provide behavioral support as needed.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Positive, proactive approach to fostering inclusion and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to K-8 students with diverse learning needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and staff.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate individual student needs.
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports to ensure accountability.
- Foster a safe, encouraging classroom environment that supports students’ growth.
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers and related service providers.
- Engage in professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices.
