This contract opportunity is based in a welcoming educational setting near Cleveland, OH, with positions open in both middle and primary school environments. Two specialized roles are available, providing a supportive framework for educators passionate about making a difference.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher licensure required for consideration
  • Demonstrated experience with multiple disabilities, including autism, non-verbal students, and physical impairments
  • Solid understanding of Emotional Disabilities, with the ability to implement BIPs (Behavior Intervention Plans), provide social-emotional instruction, and support crisis intervention
  • Experience working with diverse student populations in a classroom setting preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Role Details & Responsibilities:

  • Full-time contract: 37.5 hours per week, starting August 24, 2026, through June 7, 2027
  • Single-building assignment for consistent scheduling and strong student relationships
  • Lead one classroom for students with multiple disabilities (MD), supporting 9-12 students with complex needs
  • Manage a classroom focused on emotional disabilities (ED), providing instruction and intervention for 10-15 students
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), monitor progress, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Deliver both academic and functional instruction tailored to students’ unique goals
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
