You’ll play a key role supporting two classrooms: one focused on students with multiple disabilities—including autism, non-verbal communication, and physical impairments (9-12 students)—and the other dedicated to learners with emotional disabilities (10-15 students), emphasizing BIPs, social-emotional instruction, and crisis intervention.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid special education teaching license (required for all candidates)
- Classroom experience with students with multiple disabilities (MD) or emotional disabilities (ED) preferred
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs), behavioral intervention plans (BIPs), and social-emotional learning strategies
- Ability to implement specialized communication methods for non-verbal students
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation training is a plus
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable in classroom management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction for students in MD and ED classrooms, adapting lesson plans and teaching styles as needed
- Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families for holistic student development
- Provide behavior intervention strategies and crisis support as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation on student progress, IEP goals, and incidents
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
