This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team, helping young learners in an AU (Autism Unit) or MD (Multiple Disabilities) setting. With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, you'll have both structure and predictability in your workweek while providing essential services to students near Cleveland, OH.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher credential required
- Experience working with students with autism or multiple disabilities highly preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and instructional differentiation
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to create a supportive, positive classroom environment
- Commitment to fostering academic and social-emotional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instructional decisions
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
