Special Education Teacher in Cleveland, OH

Looking for a skilled Special Education Teacher to provide leave coverage on a short-term contract in a 3rd grade intervention setting. This assignment starts in November 2026 and continues through February 2027. The specific location and daily schedule are to be determined.

In this role, you'll be a vital part of helping students succeed by providing targeted intervention and specialized instruction in accordance with each student's IEP. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with other educators and contributing to a supportive learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in Special Education teaching
• Proper endorsement for elementary grade levels and/or special education intervention work
• Experience with elementary special education or intervention settings strongly preferred
• Strong background in IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaborative teamwork

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and intervention services as outlined in student IEPs
• Support the academic growth and diverse learning needs of 3rd grade students
• Apply accommodations, modifications, and other best practices to meet student goals
• Track and document student progress, maintaining records as required
• Work closely with general education teachers and related service providers
• Attend IEP meetings and planning sessions to advocate for student needs
