Licensed Middle School Special Education Teacher - Cleveland, Ohio

What You'll Need:

• Valid state certification and licensure to teach Special Education (elementary and/or middle school)
• Demonstrated classroom experience in Special Education, particularly in inclusion settings
• Proficiency with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Adaptability and collaboration skills to work effectively across grade levels
• Excellent communication for engaging with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Role Overview:

• Manage an elementary (K-4th grade) caseload of approximately 10 students within an inclusion classroom structure
• Co-handle two middle school caseloads (7th and 8th grades), each involving around 29 students in an inclusion environment
• Provide direct instruction, interventions, and accommodations for students in both large and small group formats, including targeted pull-out sessions
• Develop and maintain individualized education plans in coordination with staff and families
• Foster a supportive, accessible, and engaging atmosphere that encourages student growth and independence
