Elementary Middle School Special Education Teacher - Cleveland, Ohio

Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students and collaborating with school teams as a full-time Special Education Teacher. This contract position, available immediately through May 28th, 2026, is located in the Cleveland, OH area and covers both elementary and middle school environments. You'll work with diverse learners in inclusive and small-group settings, making a daily difference in their academic journey.

Your role will include:

• Elementary caseload (K-4th grade) focusing on approximately 10 students in an inclusion setting, ensuring access to the general curriculum while providing individualized support.
• Middle school caseloads for grades 7 and 8, supporting about 29 students (split caseload), blending inclusive classroom instruction with targeted small group pull-out sessions.
• Developing and implementing IEPs tailored to each student's needs, in collaboration with general education staff and families.
• Employing evidence-based instructional strategies, managing documentation, and tracking student progress consistently.
• Supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth within a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
• Participating in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

• Current certification and licensure to teach Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students in inclusive and small group settings.
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Flexibility and a commitment to fostering equity and inclusion.
