Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Current Special Education teaching license valid in Ohio
- Certification to teach at both Elementary (K-4th grade) and Middle School (7th-8th grade) levels
- Experience working in inclusive classroom settings, differentiated instruction, and small group pull-out
- Strong collaboration skills with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and individualized support to caseloads of approximately 10 elementary and 29 middle school students in inclusion settings
- Develop, write, and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and ensure students receive appropriate accommodations
- Track student progress, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Utilize creative teaching strategies and behavior management techniques
- Foster a welcoming, supportive, and growth-oriented classroom culture
