Certified Middle School Special Education Teacher - Cleveland, Ohio

Work closely with a supportive team and help students thrive in inclusion settings designed to maximize learning potential. Elementary caseloads focus on grades K-4, with approximately 10 students in an inclusive classroom model. Middle school assignment involves collaborating on shared caseloads of roughly 29 students (7th and 8th grade), balancing both mainstreaming and targeted small group pull-out sessions.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Current Special Education Teacher licensure/certification
• Endorsement/experience in elementary (K-4) and/or middle school (7th-8th) special education
• Ability to excel within inclusion models and adapt instruction for diverse learners
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs, progress-monitoring, and managing required documentation
• Genuine commitment to advocating for students’ academic and social-emotional needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction in alignment with students’ IEPs within inclusion classrooms
• Provide small group and individualized support as needed
• Collaborate with general education colleagues, related service providers, and families to support student growth
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate that encourages engagement and resilience
