Special Education Teacher – Multiple Openings | Full-Time | 2026-2027 School Year
We are currently seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for two full-time openings for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions offer the opportunity to work in supportive educational environments while making a meaningful impact on students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
Position Details:
School Year: August 24, 2026 – June 7, 2027
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Position #1: Multiple Disabilities Classroom
Location: Central Primary School
This classroom serves approximately 9-12 students with multiple disabilities. Students are primarily nonverbal and have diagnoses that may include autism and physical impairments.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
Collaborate with related service providers and support staff
Support communication development and functional life skills
Implement accommodations and modifications to ensure student success
Maintain compliance with special education documentation and reporting requirements
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with students with autism and complex learning needs
Familiarity with alternative communication methods and assistive technology
Strong collaboration and classroom management skills
Position #2: Emotional Disabilities Classroom
Location: Middle School
This classroom serves approximately 10-15 students requiring behavioral and social-emotional support.
Responsibilities:
Deliver academic instruction and social-emotional learning
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Utilize positive behavior supports and de-escalation strategies
Provide crisis intervention when necessary
Collaborate with administrators, support staff, and families to promote student success
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disabilities
Knowledge of behavior management strategies and crisis intervention
Strong relationship-building and classroom leadership skills
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification
School-based experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Passion for supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
