Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license/certification recognized in Ohio
- Experience working with students with significant behavioral and mental health needs is preferred
- Adaptability to teach both middle and high school levels in a blended classroom
- Strong classroom management skills, particularly in self-contained settings
- Proactive, compassionate approach to supporting students’ academic and emotional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach in a self-contained classroom, implementing specialized instructional strategies
- Collaborate with a classroom teacher and a dedicated social-emotional program resource
- Partner with paraprofessional staff, both floating and assigned 1:1 per IEP requirements
- Effectively manage a classroom with students exhibiting severe behavioral/mental health needs
- Maintain consistent on-site presence, Monday through Friday, 8:00am—4:00pm
