This contract role starts August 31st and continues through June 22nd, providing a full school year to engage and inspire students who thrive with your guidance.

You'll work weekday hours from 7:35 AM to 3:05 PM, supporting five in-class settings dedicated to inclusive education. Bring your expertise and passion for individualized teaching to up to 10 students per class, collaborating with general education teachers to create a learning space designed for student growth and success. We seek certified Special Education Teachers, and while high school classroom experience is preferred, we are open to outstanding educators with a strong desire to work with secondary-level students.

Qualifications:

• Valid state Special Education Teacher certification required
• High school classroom or in-class support experience preferred, though all experienced SPED teachers will be considered
• Strong commitment to inclusive and differentiated instruction
• Collaborative approach with both teaching staff and support personnel
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Positive, patient, and proactive attitude in classroom management

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class instructional support and modifications to students with diverse learning needs
• Co-teach and collaborate with general educators to optimize lesson accessibility
• Implement IEP goals, modifications, and accommodations as required
• Offer ongoing feedback and progress reports for each student
• Foster a safe, positive, and engaging classroom climate
