The role starts at the beginning of September, following board approval, and continues through the end of June, working 40 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in processing Medi-cal requests and familiar with Medicaid documentation
  • Proven ability to monitor and track random time surveys, ensuring compliance with submission deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills to verify procedures and manage sensitive information effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with staff, other specialists, and Medi-cal representatives
  • Bilingual Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply for enhanced communication with the district and families
  • No specific licenses or certifications are required, but an understanding of Medi-cal/Medicaid is essential

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and process incoming Medi-cal documentation and requests for the district
  • Monitor Medicaid random time surveys, coordinate with special education staff and district personnel to ensure timely and accurate submissions
  • Conduct monthly meetings with Medi-cal to review procedures, clarify inquiries, and maintain compliance in timekeeping and reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of all related communications, files, and procedures
  • Support the overall effectiveness of Medi-cal activities within the district
