Grades 6 - 8 K-5 Special Education Teacher | Cobleskill, New York

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with students in elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and support personnel
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Positive, proactive approach to supporting students’ academic and social growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction across grades K–12, accommodating a wide variety of needs
• Develop, monitor, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create effective inclusion strategies
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements and challenges
• Foster a safe, welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and growth
