Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Collaborative mindset for partnering with faculty, support staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to students’ individual needs and goals
• Manage a diverse caseload of middle school students requiring special education services
• Conduct regular assessments and progress monitoring
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and paraprofessionals
• Implement IEPs and participate in meetings to review and update educational strategies
• Provide academic and behavioral support to help students reach their full potential
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all special education regulations
