Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state or eligibility to obtain.
  • Demonstrated experience in high school special education environments.
  • Background in resource/co-teaching models or supporting general education classrooms.
  • Experience working with neurodiverse student populations in self-contained settings preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to design and implement differentiated instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored instruction to high school students in resource/co-teaching or self-contained classrooms, adapting content to meet diverse learning needs.

  • Develop, monitor, and report on student progress toward IEP goals.
  • Employ evidence-based behavioral and academic strategies to maximize engagement and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, comply with relevant regulations, and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences.
