Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid VT Special Educator License or eligibility to transfer licensure to Vermont
- Proven experience working with high school students in a special education setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Skilled in differentiating instruction to meet individual learning needs
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and creating an inclusive educational experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student’s academic and developmental needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Track student progress and provide ongoing documentation and communication
- Employ a variety of instructional strategies and classroom management techniques
- Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
