Special Education Teacher – Severe & Profound Disabilities

Position Overview:
A district near Skiatook is looking to hire a Severe & Profound Special Education Teacher to provide direct, comprehensive support in a self-contained classroom setting. The teacher will help design curriculum around functional living, self-care, social, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Teach daily living and functional academic skills to students with profound needs

• Implement and monitor intensive behavior support and communication systems

• Collaborate with related service providers, including OT, PT, and SLP

• Maintain IEPs and provide progress reporting

• Develop meaningful routines and adaptive learning opportunities

Qualifications:

• Valid Oklahoma SPED Certification

• Experience working in severe/profound special education settings

• Excellent team-collaboration skills and flexibility

Compensation & Benefits:
? $38–$45/hour
