Special Education Teacher in Colorado Springs, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials
• Previous experience in elementary special education preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and flexibility when responding to varying student needs
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Passion for advancing student growth in an inclusive, caring classroom

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 12 elementary students, providing tailored instruction and support throughout the school day
• Assess student abilities and design objectives in accordance with IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive student support
• Maintain open communication with families to discuss student progress and strategies
• Establish a structured, nurturing environment that encourages each child’s unique potential
• Attend relevant meetings and trainings as required
