Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification/licensure as a Special Education Teacher
- Demonstrated knowledge of affective needs and experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disabilities
- Expertise in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaborative skills, able to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable, patient, and committed to evidence-based instruction and positive behavioral support
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Designing and delivering individualized instruction tailored to each student’s affective needs
- Managing classroom environments to promote engagement, safety, and growth
- Developing, reviewing, and updating IEPs in partnership with educational teams and families
- Tracking student progress, documenting data, and reporting outcomes
- Implementing positive behavioral interventions and supports to address social and emotional development
- Participating in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development as needed
