Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Colorado Special Education Teacher certification required
- Demonstrated experience with K-12 caseloads, including self-contained and resource settings
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Proven ability to perform all general Special Education Teacher responsibilities effectively
- Strong work ethic and commitment to student growth and success
- Positive attitude and a willingness to embrace challenges with a solution-focused mindset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with support staff, families, and administration
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction for a caseload of K-12 students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to create inclusive learning environments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Foster a supportive, engaging classroom that encourages student independence and achievement
