Certified Grades 6 - 8 Special Education Teacher - Columbia Cross Roads, PA

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting middle schoolers as a Special Education Teacher in an Emotional Support classroom. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 5th, 2026, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:30am to 3:10pm. You'll have a meaningful impact working primarily with 7th and 8th grade students, currently supporting a caseload of 13, with the potential for growth to 20 students.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience or certification suitable for working with Grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Demonstratable knowledge of emotional support classroom strategies and individualized instruction
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, faculty, and support staff
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate instruction in a middle school emotional support setting
• Develop lesson plans aligned with IEP goals and individual learning styles
• Track student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed

• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and needs
