Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Previous, proven experience in special education settings working with a range of mild to moderate disabilities
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to implement individualized learning plans
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable, patient, and compassionate approach to meeting students’ unique needs
- Enthusiasm for continuous professional growth and learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to students with exceptionalities, adapting lessons to different learning styles and abilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while tracking progress and setting achievable goals
- Partner with general education teachers to provide effective inclusion support and differentiated instruction
- Maintain accurate and organized student records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Communicate regularly with families and stakeholders regarding student development and success
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school activities as an active contributor
