You’ll have the opportunity to work onsite at select elementary and intermediate locations, with a caseload including middle and high school students. Desired Qualifications:
- Hold current SPED licensure (required; verification available via the Alabama teacher certification portal).
- K-6 certification for inclusion roles; 6-12 certification for self-contained and additional inclusion positions.
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, particularly in Special Education.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, teachers, and support staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability in meeting diverse student needs.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying disabilities across general and special education classrooms.
- Communicate progress and challenges to families and school personnel.
- Maintain detailed, compliant records and actively participate in IEP meetings.
