About This Opportunity
This remote intervention specialist position focuses on early childhood education, serving students in pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade. You'll work approximately 35-37.5 hours per week, managing a caseload of 45-55 students who require specialized support in areas including developmental delays, speech and language development, early literacy skills, and social-emotional learning. Your virtual classroom will become a safe, engaging space where young learners build foundational skills essential for academic success.
What You'll Do
As an intervention specialist, you'll develop and implement individualized education programs tailored to each student's unique needs. Your responsibilities include creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans, conducting assessments to monitor student progress, collaborating with parents and educational teams through virtual meetings, maintaining detailed documentation of student growth and IEP compliance, and adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles. You'll utilize interactive technology and creative teaching methods to keep young learners engaged in the virtual environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio Intervention Specialist licensure with Pre-K endorsement
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Minimum 2 years of school-based teaching experience
- Experience working with early childhood populations
- Strong technology skills for virtual instruction delivery
- Reliable internet connection and appropriate workspace for remote teaching
Technical Requirements
Successful candidates must be comfortable using video conferencing platforms, learning management systems, digital assessment tools, and interactive educational software designed for young learners.
