Elementary Special Ed Teacher | Columbus, Ohio

A school district in Columbus, OH is seeking a Special Education Teacher to serve as an Intervention Specialist for the remainder of this semester. This position focuses on K-1st grade elementary students, primarily supporting a caseload of children with Autism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with Autism in a K-1 classroom setting
• Collaborate closely with two assigned paraprofessionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and adapt intervention strategies to promote positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and school staff regarding student development

Qualifications:

• Active Ohio Intervention Specialist Teaching License
• Experience working with young children, preferably with Autism or other special needs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with support staff and families
