Special Education Teacher in Columbus, OH

You'll play an essential part in fostering growth and success for students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. The position encompasses a standard school week of 37.5 hours.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid Special Education teaching license
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Flexibility to work with caseloads ranging from elementary (up to 16 students), middle, and high school (up to 24 students)
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to maintaining an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
• Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs

Your responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with varying disabilities, following established IEPs
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
• Engage in IEP meetings, goal setting, and progress monitoring
• Create a welcoming and accessible classroom climate
• Participate in professional learning and school events as required
• Support positive behavioral interventions and student advocacy
