Special Education Teacher | Columbus, Ohio

This contract opportunity is ideal for Special Education Teachers eager to help students thrive throughout the full 2026–2027 school year. You'll work onsite within an engaging academic environment, delivering individualized education programs to elementary, middle, and high school students.

This position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, 37.5 hours per week. Caseloads are being finalized and may include multiple openings. Class sizes generally range up to 16 for elementary and middle grades, and up to 24 for high school, allowing you to build meaningful connections while making a significant impact.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Possess excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive classroom environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction in alignment with IEP goals, adapting lessons to meet individual needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Track and document student progress, participating in IEP meetings and regular team communications
• Foster social, emotional, and academic growth for each student
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and safe classroom setting
