Special Education Teacher | Commerce City, Colorado

Located near Commerce City, CO, this contract position invites passionate educators to provide dedicated instruction and support for a caseload of approximately 8-10 students. As a full-time, in-person learning specialist, you’ll be a vital part of each student’s academic and personal growth journey.

Qualifications and Skills Desired:

• Active Special Education license for grades 0-8 (SpEd K-12/5-21 also considered)
• Previous experience working with special education students preferred
• Deep understanding of IEP development and compliance
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with staff and families
• Genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored, engaging instruction to meet individual student needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor progress of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal, state, and local special education requirements
• Communicate clearly with families regarding student progress and needs
• Promote social and emotional growth alongside academic achievement
• Participate fully in school meetings, professional development, and parent conferences

Position Details:

• Full-time, in-person position
• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM schedule
