This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher passionate about fostering academic growth in Math and Reading. You’ll work closely with a caseload of 16 students, all of whom have mild to moderate needs, ensuring every child receives the individualized guidance that empowers their success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
  • Experience supporting middle school students, especially in Math and Reading
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
  • Ability to create a positive, encouraging classroom environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with general education staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted Math and Reading interventions in both inclusion and resource settings
  • Utilize differentiated instruction strategies tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and maintain IEPs
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
  • Foster a classroom environment where each student feels valued and supported
