Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current credentials as a Special Education Teacher in the state of North Carolina
• Prior experience with IEP development, implementation, and monitoring
• Ability to support students in either self-contained classrooms or resource roles
• Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities
• Proven work ethic, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a positive, student-centered mindset
• Knowledge of current educational best practices and compliance requirements for special education
• Capacity to collaborate with fellow educators, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on students’ IEP goals
• Deliver targeted instruction and interventions to support learning and growth
• Maintain accurate records and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to address diverse needs and abilities
• Communicate regularly with team members and families to ensure student success
• Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that encourages student engagement
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
